Dog Star Rescue, based in Bloomfield, CT, is a non-profit, 100% volunteer based dog rescue that places stray, abandoned, shelter, and owner-surrender dogs of all breeds and ages into qualified, caring, lifelong homes. We work closely with shelters in the South as well as New England states to save the lives of loving and loyal dogs who have lost their way and often find themselves on death row. With adoption events every week and new dogs arriving weekly as well, we have saved more than 5,000 dogs’ lives - giving them the second chance they deserve. Please know that our thorough screening process is to ensure that adopted dogs will be properly cared for and a good fit for both the adopter and dogs’ needs.
